Inaugural “Scranton Founder’s Day” to be held on April 28

Leadership Lackawanna in partnership with Lackawanna Heritage Valley will host the Inaugural “Scranton Founder’s Day” event to celebrate Scranton through the history of the people, land and industry with which the area was built. The event will foster a sense of community pride and appreciation for the history of Scranton and the surrounding areas.The event will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from noon to 4 pm at the Olive Street Trailhead on West Olive Street in Scranton.

The day will be filled with family friendly activities that are both fun and educational. Event activities will include historically relevant games, music and re-enactors. Admission to the event will be free to the public. Food will be available for purchase  from on-site vendors.
