TREEVITALIZE METRO GRANTS

TreeVitalize Metro Grant Program Overview

LHVA announces that it is now accepting applications for the spring 2010 round of TreeVitalize Metro grants. The state-wide TreeVitalize Metro program provides grants and technical assistance to communities for tree-planting to help establish urban forest management programs. Eligible expenses include trees, tree supplies, site preparation, and tree-planting costs. A dollar for dollar match is required. To date, LHVA has awarded $89,700 in TreeVitalize Metro grants to eleven communities.

Deadline

Applications are due on July 1, 2010.

Eligible Applicants

Municipalities or municipal agencies in Lackawanna, Luzerne, and Wyoming Counties are eligible to apply.
