Management Plans

Since LHVA’s inception in 1991, several plans have been prepared to guide the heritage area’s development and plan of work. LHVA’s “Environmental Impact Study and Management Action Plan” of 2004, a requirement for federal designation, builds on several of these plans and it includes both an Interpretive Plan and an Education Plan. LHVA’s Management Action Plan identifies important resources and the means to protect them. It also recommends the appropriate development and use of designated sites.

Press Kit & LHVA Funding Acknowledgement

Grant recipients MUST credit LHVA’s funding support in every public activity related to the funded project. This includes all project publications and materials, promotions, public events, website pages, signage, and media appearances. Failure to do so will jeopardize future funding.

Grant recipients will receive a Press Kit with their award information. It also is available as a PDF by clicking the link below or by contacting LHVA. Grantees are responsible for reviewing this publication and adhering to its guidelines. Grantees should use LHVA’s logo in all events and materials pertaining to a grant supported project. If a grant recipient cannot use LHVA’s logo, the following credit statement should be used:

“Sponsored in part by the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the National Park Service.”
