You bring the old clothes. We’ll bring the frames. And together, we’ll bring these Eco-Friendly Scarecrows to life!
Our Eco-Friendly Scarecrow Making Party runs from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, at Sweeney’s Beach in Scranton as part of the Lackawanna River Conservation Association’s 30th Anniversary Recycling Market and Creative Recycling event.
We’ll supply frames for the “bodies” of the scarecrows and stuffing (while quantities last). Children should bring old clothes that aren’t suitable for donation to charity. Button- down shirts, hats, scarves, bandanas and gloves are perfect for dressing up scarecrows.
The Eco-friendly Scarecrow Making Party is just one of many activities scheduled for this day-long event. Peruse vendors at the Recycling Market in the morning. Take a break and enjoy a picnic lunch of hot dogs and soda. Then spend the rest of the day playing games and enjoying family-friendly activities.
Admission is free!
