Volunteers and Board Members of Heritage Valley Partners, the non-profit partner of Lackawanna Heritage Valley (LHV), are planning a new event in honor of the Heritage Valley’s 25th anniversary this year.
The Heritage Explorer Golf Tournament presented by Munley Law will be held on Sunday, June 26, at Pine Hills Country Club in Taylor. Proceeds will benefit projects and programs supporting the mission of LHV: to facilitate community action in the preservation, promotion and development of the region’s history, cultural heritage, and natural resources, including the development of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. with tee-off at 8 a.m. for the captain and crew tournament. Lunch will be served at Pine Hills Bar & Grill followed by an awards presentation. In addition to 18 holes of golf, players will enjoy music by Soulshine, contests and door prizes. Community businesses have generously donated valuable prizes including a 2-year lease on a new Ford Mustang from Gibbons Ford as a hole-in-one prize, a 50” color LCD television donated by Walmart, and a midweek foursome of golf at Skytop Lodge, just to name a few.
The cost is $100 per player. For non-golfers who would like to attend the luncheon, tickets are $50 per person.
The Heritage Explorer Golf Tournament is made possible with support from community-minded businesses including: Munley Law, Birchwood Tennis & Fitness Club, Dougherty, Leventhal & Price (DLP), Pine Hills Country Club, Lamar Advertising, Cerminaro Construction, Gibbons Ford, UGI Utilities, Stafursky Paving Co., and Gentex.
