Trail Update

The Lackawanna Heritage Valley has many new projects underway, including new sections of trail from Scranton to Taylor and from Archbald to Jermyn. These new sections will further the ultimate goal of the Lackawanna Heritage Valley to carve a path alongside the Lackawanna River. These big projects extend the already multipurpose trail an additional five miles total, both connecting previously constructed sections of trail. The paved sections of the trail are perfect for cycling, walking and jogging, enjoying nature, exercising pets, enjoying fitness activities, and for gaining access to the Lackawanna River. The trail is an important alternative transportation route between home, work, and school, and for travel between communities.
