The Lackawanna Heritage Valley Begins Construction on the Scranton to Taylor Section of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail
On May 14, LHV broke ground for a new two-mile section of the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail from West Elm Street in Scranton to Taylor Borough. The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the trailhead on West Elm Street. Bike Tour – Rides Start From 8 to 9:30 a.m.
- Ride the beautiful Lackawanna River Heritage Trail and the D&H Rail-Trail
- Great for bike riders of all ages and abilities
- Options include 5, 11, 22 and 44 mile routes
- All routes are out-and-back from Mellow Park
- Riders are strongly encouraged to use mountain bikes or hybrid bikes. Road bikes are not suitable for the trail portion of the rides.

- Fun activities teach bike safety and good bike handling skills
